The Time Estimator (v.2.5) for the IRAM 30m telescope
Continuum observations with the MPIfR bolometers

For all the calculations, we assume:
-- typical atmospheric conditions (winter: average opacity @ 250 GHz 0.2; summer: 0.4),
-- low skynoise or effective skynoise reduction,
-- intermediate elevations (El ~ 40-60 deg.)
-- and the expected sensitivities of the bolometers as specified in the most recent "Call for Observing Proposals on the 30m Telescope".
For on-the-fly mapping, we ask for the source size, and consider a typical wobbler throw (~ 45").
For detailed explanations, read our HELP page.

NOTE: this entry corresponds to the field which will have a homogeneous rms as specified below.
The full map size will be larger than this field.
